London and Cotswolds
Have you
ever dreamed of experiencing the sights, sounds and attractions of London but
also yearned to spend time “away from it all” in a lovely, quiet English
Village? Now you can!
We are
offering a private guided tour of London and the Cotswold’s. This tour will be
operated by a private guide who lives in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire (middle of
the Cotswolds). He has a vast knowledge of London for he has lived there until
just recently and has operating chauffeur driven tours of London for the past
two decades. He has now expanded his touring base to include that of other
parts of England, focusing on the beauty and history, which the Cotswolds
offers. Spending time in the Cotswolds is literally like stepping back in
time. There are many quaint, beautiful villages with honey colored buildings,
thatched roof cottages, gorgeous gardens and gently rolling hills. You will not
see a McDonalds in the Cotswolds! Instead, there are many cute pubs,
restaurants and teahouses.
The great
thing about having your own private tour is that you can go to all the “off
beaten path places” where the big tour buses cannot go (There are only a few
villages in which the tour buses can even park).
You have your option of accommodations while staying in Winchcombe:
1. You
can stay in your own Victorian Home, called the Clarence House, situated right
on the main street, within walking distance to Sudeley Castle. Here there are 3
bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, with a modern kitchen, eating area and family room.
You can opt to make your own meals or walk down the street to the many cozy and
delightful restaurants and pubs. Behind the house is a private garden with a
patio where you can sit outdoors and enjoy drinks and your meals.
2.
You can stay in
Mercia House Bed and Breakfast just few doors down from the Clarence House or
you can stay up the road at another lovely b&b with views of Sudeley Castle
(about 1 mile outside of town).
The beauty
of having a private driver guide is that we can design your itinerary to suite
your interests and needs. On your departure from London you have the option at
stopping to visit Hampton Court, Windsor Castle or stop in Oxford.
